Scotland Marshall Plumbing was engaged to complete the plumbing and roofing package for this new passive house in Glen Iris, with our team involved from the below-ground drainage through to the final plumbing and roofing works.

The below-ground package included sanitary and stormwater drainage, boundary trap renewal, stormwater pits and agricultural drainage around the property. A major component of the stormwater system was the installation of four 4,000L below-deck rainwater tanks and two 3,000L above-ground tanks, complete with rainwater harvesting and diversion systems.

Internally, our team completed the sanitary stacks and plumbing services for the kitchen, laundry, powder room and two bathrooms. With no gas connected to the property, hot water was provided by an energy-efficient heat pump hot water system.

Our roofing team also completed the roofing and associated rainwater goods, including downpipes and rainheads, integrating the roof drainage with the extensive rainwater harvesting system below.
