Scotland Marshall Plumbing was engaged to complete the plumbing, roofing and cladding package for this renovation and modern architectural extension to an existing heritage home in Windsor.

The plumbing package included new sanitary and stormwater drainage, boundary trap renewal and plumbing services for two new bathrooms, kitchen, butler’s pantry and laundry, while also reconnecting and servicing the existing areas of the home. A new gas instantaneous hot water system was installed, along with gas services for the hydronic heating and outdoor BBQ. Stormwater works also included a 3,000L below-deck rainwater tank and three rain gardens, all connected through to the legal point of discharge.

The roofing package combined corrugated roofing over the barn-style extension with Klip-Lok roofing to the flat section connecting the existing home to the new addition, along with two new skylights.

The standout feature of the project was the Matt Monument interlocking wall cladding, creating a striking contrast between the original heritage home and the contemporary extension. The finished cladding was later featured by Colorbond Australia on their Instagram page, which was a great recognition of the finished project.
